Laramie, WY (Sports Network) - Matt Shaw scored 16 points to lead the UNLV Runnin' Rebels to a 78-50 victory over the Wyoming Cowboys in a Mountain West Conference tilt at the Arena-Auditorium.

Tre'Von Willis added 15 points and eight rebounds for UNLV (18-4, 6-2 MWC), while Chace Stanback tallied 12 points in the win.

Ryan Dermody posted 12 points and pulled down seven boards for Wyoming (9-13, 2-6), while Desmar Jackson and Amath M'Baye contributed 11 and 10 points, respectively, in the loss.

The Runnin' Rebels went into the break with a 40-27 lead after holding the Cowboys to a mere 34.8 percent shooting effort from the floor in the first 20 minutes of action.

UNLV ran away with the contest in the second stanza, as the team connected on 60.9 percent of its attempts from the field, en route to a 28-point victory.

The Rebels scored 20 points off 14 Wyoming turnovers, and also outscored the Cowboys in the paint by a 32-16 margin.
