Martin, TN (Sports Network) - Wes Channels scored 17 points and added six assists as the Austin Peay Governors held off the Tennessee-Martin Skyhawks, 74-69, in an Ohio Valley Conference skirmish.

Justin Blake added 15 points for the Governors (14-10, 8-4 OVC). John Fraley added 13 points and 14 rebounds, while Anthony Campbell provided 13 points and 10 caroms.

Marquis Weddle scored 23 points and grabbed eight rebounds for the Skyhawks (3-18, 0-11), while Benzor Simmons added 17 points.

Austin Peay took a 35-24 halftime lead despite shooting just 37.1 percent from the floor in the first half. Both teams struggled from outside the arc, shooting a combined 7-of-26 from three-point distance.

Austin Peay stayed in front by shooting 50.0 percent from the floor after halftime. Tennessee-Martin was 17-of-30 from the floor and 5-of-9 from long range in the second stanza but couldn't erase the deficit.

The two teams turned the ball over just 12 times between them.
