Riverside, CA (Sports Network) - Raymond Cody scored 18 points to lead the CS Northridge Matadors to a 63-47 victory over the UC Riverside Highlanders in Big West Conference play at the Student Rec. Center.

Willie Galick was the next best thing for CS Northridge (9-13, 4-5 BigWest), as the center tallied nine points in the win.

Kyle Austin led the way for UC Riverside (8-14, 2-8) with 17 points, while Larry Gurganious tallied a double-double of 11 points and 11 rebounds.

The Matadors went into the break with a 35-27 lead after posting a 44.8 percent shooting effort from the floor in the first frame, which included a 6- of-10 clip from behind the arc.

In the second stanza, CS Northridge held the Highlanders to a meager 22.2 percent shooting effort from the field, and went on to win by a 16-point margin.
