Cullowhee, NC (Sports Network) - Brandon Giles scored 19 points to lead the Western Carolina Catamounts to an 83-68 win over the Georgia Southern Eagles in Southern Conference action.

Adrian Gailliard also added 15 points for Western Carolina (18-5, 8-3 SoCon), while Mike Williams and Harouna Mutombo chipped in with 14 points apiece. Jake Robinson also got involved, scoring 11 points for the Catamounts.

Georgia Southern (6-18, 3-8) was paced by Colby Wohlleb, who scored a career- high 22 points in a losing effort. Rory Spencer also added 11 points, nine rebounds and five blocks, while Willie Powers and Ben Drayton netted 11 points apiece for the Eagles.

Western Carolina took control of the game in the first half, shooting 52.8 percent from the floor to take a 42-31 lead at the break.

The Catamounts kept the pressure on in the second stanza, knocking down 16- of-32 shots from the floor en route to a 15-point victory.

Western Carolina controlled the post, outscoring the Eagles 48-26 in the paint.
