Bozeman, MT (Sports Network) - Danny Piepoli connected on 5-of-8 shots from three-point range to come away with 16 points as he helped lead the Montana State Bobcats to a 63-60 win over the Idaho State Bengals in Big Sky Conference play at Worthington Arena.

Bobby Howard tacked on 11 points for the Bobcats (12-10, 7-4 Big Sky) as they snapped a two-game slide, while Branden Johnson accounted for 10 points in the triumph as well.

The Bengals (6-16, 3-7) were paced by Broderick Gilchrest with a game-high 24 points on 11-of-17 shooting from the floor in the team's second straight loss. Donnie Carson picked up 15 points and Austin Kilpatrick with 13 and eight boards before fouling out.

Both teams shot just under 50 percent from the field in the first half, but even though ISU made a mere 1-of-7 behind the three-point line in the frame, the Bengals trailed by only a single point at the break, 28-27.

In the second half MSU pushed out to a slight four-point lead and used 6-of-12 shooting beyond the arc in the period to claim the three-point victory.

In a game that saw 10 ties and 11 lead changes, the Bengals hurt themselves with 15 turnovers and a mere three points from the reserves.
