Cambridge, MA (Sports Network) - Kareem Maddox came off the bench to score 14 points and pull down eight rebounds as the Princeton Tigers held on for the 56-53 win over the Harvard Crimson in Ivy League action at Lavietes Pavilion.

Also scoring in double figures for the Tigers (12-5, 3-0 Ivy), as they won their fifth in a row and 10th in the last 11 decisions, was Dan Mavraides with 14 points as well.

The Crimson (14-5, 3-2) were paced by Jeremy Lin with a game-high 19 points, while Oliver McNally dropped 12 points before picking up his fifth foul in the team's second straight setback.

Harvard led by six points early in the contest, but the squad managed a mere 25.9 percent shooting from the field in the period, leading to a 29-20 deficit at the break.

In the second half the Princeton lead reached as high as 14 points with just over 12 minutes to play, but down the stretch the Crimson made their run and cut the deficit to just 54-53 when Christian Webster converted a four-point play with 12 seconds remaining. A pair of free throws by Maddox a moment later put the game out of reach for the Tigers.

Harvard finished the night shooting only 36 percent from the field and 8-of-24 behind the three-point line.
