Missoula, MT (Sports Network) - Anthony Johnson tallied 18 points and handed out five assists as he helped lead the Montana Grizzlies to a 75-61 win over the Weber State Wildcats in Big Sky Conference action at Dahlberg Arena.
Also scoring in double figures for the Grizzlies (16-7, 7-4 Big Sky) were Ryan Staudacher and Will Cherry with 16 and 14 points, respectively, in the team's third straight win and the sixth in the last seven outings.
The Wildcats (14-8, 8-2) were paced by Damian Lillard with a game-high 24 points, while Franklin Session and Lindsey Hughey both delivered 12 points, the former providing a game-high 10 rebounds as well as the team had a five- game win streak snapped.
Montana scored the first points of the game and never looked back, hitting on an impressive 57.7 percent from the floor to arrive at a 37-26 lead at the break.
In the second half the Grizzlies made a total of only nine field goals, but sealed the 14-point victory by converting 18-of-22 chances at the free-throw line.
The difference in the contest was at the charity stripe where Weber State was outscored 21-6.
