Kalamazoo, MI (Sports Network) - David Kool stole the ball and hit a layup with four seconds remaining to lift the Western Michigan Broncos over the Bowling Green Falcons by a 65-64 final in Mid-American Conference action.

Kool finished with 23 points for Western Michigan (13-10, 5-5 MAC), which got 10 points from Flenard Whitfield.

Scott Thomas and Otis Polk both had 14 points in defeat for Bowling Green (11-11, 4-6). The Falcons also got 13 points from Dee Brown and 10 points from Erik Marschall.

Bowling Green owned a 32-30 lead at intermission despite permitting Western Michigan to shoot 55 percent from the floor in the first half.

The Falcons led by as many as 11 points with 8:34 remaining in the contest, but the Broncos fought back and won the game on Kool's tremendous play.

Both teams finished the tilt with 31 rebounds and eight points from the foul line.
