Bronx, NY (Sports Network) - Derrio Green deposited 24 points to lead the Charlotte 49ers to a 77-72 win over the Fordham Rams in Atlantic 10 play at Rose Hill Gym.

Shamari Spears notched a double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds for the 49ers (18-5, 8-1 A-10), winners of seven straight. An'Juan Wilderness added 13 points behind 5-of-5 shooting from the floor.

Chris Gaston piled up 32 points and 12 rebounds for Fordham (2-19, 0-9), though the Rams have now lost 16 in a row. Brenton Butler had 15 points in a losing effort.

Both teams shot an identical 10-of-24 from the floor in the first half, but it was Fordham clinging to a 30-29 halftime advantage.

Fordham led by as many as 10 with just under seven minutes to play in regulation, but Charlotte rallied down the stretch to take the lead. The 49ers were able to take control by knocking down an impressive 18-of-20 free throws in the frame.
