Springfield, MO (Sports Network) - Will Creekmore scored 13 points as the Missouri State Bears defeated the Creighton Bluejays 70-52 in a Missouri Valley Conference battle at the JQH Arena.

Justin Fuehrmeyer added 12 points in the win for Missouri State (16-8, 6-7 MVC), while Kyle Weems and Adam Leonard dropped in 11 points apiece.

Creighton (12-12, 7-6) was led by Kenny Lawson Jr.'s 15 points, while Josh Jones added 10.

The Bluejays could only connect on 38.5 percent of their shots in the first half as they went into the intermission trailing 35-24.

The Bears were able to pull away and seal the victory behind 56.0 percent shooting in the second stanza.

Missouri State out-muscled Creighton under the boards, outrebounding the Bluejays 40-27 in the tussle.
