Drew Spradlin scored 14 points for Elon (5-17, 3-8 SoCon), while Chris Long added 11.

Amu Saaka netted a game-high 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the loss for Furman (11-12, 5-7), while Jordan Miller scored 11.

The Phoenix took a 35-25 lead into the intermission behind 46.7 percent shooting from the floor.

The Paladins were unable to recover, connecting on just 9-of-31 (29.0 percent) of their second half shots.

Elon outscored Furman 22-10 in the paint, as the Phoenix rose to the victory.
