Mount Pleasant, MI (Sports Network) - Justin Greene poured in 22 points and the Kent State Golden Flashes topped the Central Michigan Chippewas, 68-63, in a Mid-American Conference joust at the Rose Center.

Chris Singletary added 19 points and six rebounds for Kent State (17-7, 8-2 MAC), while Rodriquez Sherman had 13 points.

Jordan Bitzer paced the Chippewas (11-10, 6-3) with 19 points, while Jalin Thomas and Antonio Weary posted 12 and 10 points, respectively.

Central Michigan took a 31-28 lead into the locker room after shooting 43.5 percent from the floor and going 9-of-14 at the charity stripe.

Singletary's jumper gave Kent State a 49-48 lead with 9:18 left in regulation and the Golden Flashes stayed in front virtually all the way. Kent State was 15-of-22 from the floor in the second half for the five-point victory.

The Golden Flashes finished the game 6-of-11 from three-point range.
