Kingston, RI (Sports Network) - Akeem Richmond scored 19 points to lead the Rhode Island Rams to a 93-85 win over the Massachusetts Minutemen in Atlantic 10 Conference action at the Ryan Center.

Lamonte Ulmer also added 17 points and 10 rebounds for the Rams (19-3, 7-2 A-10), while Delroy James and Will Martel chipped in with 13 points apiece. Keith Cothran also got involved tallying 10 points, seven assists and five steals.

Ricky Harris led the way for the Minutemen (8-15, 2-7), netting a game-high 32 points in a losing effort. Anthony Gurley also added 15 points, while Sean Carter and Terrell Vinson checked in with 11 and 10 points, respectively

URI took control of the contest in the first half, shooting 51.4 percent from the floor to take a 46-29 lead at the break.

The Rams put the game away in the second stanza, connecting on 5-of-10 three- point attempts en route to an eight-point victory.

The Rams' bench proved to be the difference in this contest, outscoring the UMASS reserves 39-19 in the win.
