DeKalb, IL (Sports Network) - Kenny Hayes scored 22 points as the Miami-Ohio RedHawks held off the Northern Illinois Huskies for a 74-69 decision in a Mid- America Conference game.

Nick Winbush posted 17 points for the RedHawks (10-13. 7-3 MAC), who won their fourth straight. Julian Mavunga added 13 points and 11 rebounds, meanwhile, Antonio Ballard chipped in with 12 points.

Darion Anderson scored 16 points for the Huskies (8-14, 4-6), who have now lost six in a row. He also contributed seven rebounds. Xavier Silas added 13 points. Lee Fisher scored 11 points and grabbed eight rebounds, while Michael Patton finished with 10 points.

Miami took a 44-26 halftime lead after knocking down 10-of-13 three-point attempts in the first half. The RedHawks also shot 53.3 percent from the floor.

The RedHawks stayed in control after halftime, shooting 42.9 percent from the floor and making 10 free throws for the five-point win.

Miami was 12-of-19 from long range for the game. The RedHawks prevailed despite being outrebounded 42-30.
