Hempstead, NY (Sports Network) - Matt Janning scored a game-high 17 points to lead the Northeastern Huskies to a 75-55 win over the Hofstra Pride in a Colonial Athletic Association showdown at the Mack Sports Complex.

Chaisson Allen also added 16 points for Northeastern (16-8, 11-2 CAA), while Manny Adako and Baptiste Bataille chipped in with 14 and 11 points, respectively.

Hofstra (12-13, 5-8) was paced by Charles Jenkins, who scored 14 points in a losing effort. Cornelius Vines also got involved, netting 11 points, while Miklos Szabo tallied 10 points and eight rebounds for the Pride.

Hofstra got off to a fast start, shooting 37.5 percent from the floor in the first half to take a 32-30 lead at the break.

The Huskies stormed back in the second stanza, knocking down 19-of-24 free throws en route to a 20-point victory.

Foul shooting proved to be the difference in this contest, as Northeastern outscored Hofstra 28-13 from the charity stripe.
