Brandon Bowdry scored 17 points and pulled down 15 rebounds for Eastern Michigan (12-11, 4-6 MAC), while Justin Dobbins added 12 points and 10 caroms.

Armon Bassett scored 19 points for the Bobcats (12-11, 3-6), and D.J. Cooper added 15 points and five rebounds. Reggie Keely finished with 11 points and eight boards in the losing cause.

Eastern Michigan took a 25-22 halftime lead after shooting 39.3 percent from the floor in the first half. Ohio shot just 32.0 percent from the field in the same span.

The Eagles heated up after halftime, shooting 58.3 percent from the floor, including 4-of-9 from long range, for the nine-point win.
