Vernon Teel added 18 points and seven assists for LMU (12-12, 3-5 WCC), while Kevin Young and Jarred DuBois posted 15 points apiece in the win.

Mychel Thompson netted 18 points for Pepperdine (7-17, 3-5), while Keion Bell tallied 13 points in the loss.

The Lions took a 37-24 lead into the break after holding Pepperdine to a meager 26.9 percent shooting effort from the field in the first half.

Loyola-Marymount pulled away in the second stanza after shooting a sizzling 56.5 percent from the floor.

The Lions scored 20 points off 14 Pepperdine turnovers, while the Waves finished with just two points off seven LMU miscues.
