Moraga, CA (Sports Network) - Omar Samhan's double-double of 24 points and 10 rebounds led the way for Saint Mary's, as the Gaels defeated the San Francisco Dons, 73-57, in West Coast Conference play at McKeon Pavilion.

Samhan also racked up seven blocks for Saint Mary's (21-3, 8-1 WCC), which also received 12 points and seven rebounds from Clint Steindl. Matthew Dellavedova added 11 points, seven assists and six rebounds for the Gaels, while Ben Allen and Mickey McConnell both tallied 10 points in the win.

The only player in double figures for San Fran (9-15, 4-5) was Dior Lowhorn, who finished with 25 points and eight rebounds in the loss.

The Gaels shot 51.5 percent from the field in the first half and went into the break with a 41-26 advantage.

In the second stanza Saint Mary's held San Fran to a woeful 34.3 percent shooting effort from the field, and went on to win by a 16-point margin.

The Gaels scored 16 points off 15 San Francisco turnovers, while the Dons posted just four points off nine Saint Mary's miscues.
