Bowling Green, KY (Sports Network) - Steffphon Pettigrew scored 25 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers to an 87-69 victory over the Troy Trojans in Sun Belt Conference action at E.A. Diddle Arena.

A.J. Slaughter added 17 points for WKU (13-11, 6-6 SBC), while Caden Dickerson and Sergio Kerusch tallied 15 points apiece in the win.

Antywan Jones netted 20 points for Troy (13-11, 8-5), while Brandon Hazzard and Michael Vogler posted 16 and 11 points, respectively.

Western Kentucky went into the intermission with a 43-28 lead after shooting 50.0 percent from the field in the first half, and that included an 8-of-14 showing from behind the arc.

In the second stanza the Hilltoppers connected on 15-of-32 of their attempts from the floor, en route to the 18-point win

The Hilltoppers made 12-of-26 attempts from behind the arc, while Troy finished just 3-of-19 from long range.
