Final Score: Wisconsin 62 - Michigan 44
Ann Arbor, MI (Sports Network) - Jason Bohannon made four of Wisconsin's 11 three-pointers, as the 16th ranked Badgers posted a relatively easy 62-44 victory over Big Ten foe Michigan at Crisler Arena.
Trevon Hughes and Jordan Taylor chipped in 14 and 13 points, respectively, for the Badgers (18-5, 8-3 Big Ten), who shot 53.7 percent from the field en route to their eighth straight win over the Wolverines (11-12, 4-7), losers in five of their last six games.
DeShawn Sims paced Michigan with 18 points, while Manny Harris scored 11 in defeat.
Wisconsin blew open a 15-14 game near the midway point of the first half with a flurry of three-pointers.
Taylor got things started with a make from behind the arc and drained another one to cap a 14-0 burst for a 15-point Badgers lead with a little over five minutes left.
Hughes hit one from long distance during the stretch and another one several minutes later for a 35-22 cushion. Bohannon later beat the buzzer with a 35- footer, as the visitors ended the half 9-of-13 from three-point land for a 40-26 edge.
While the threes slowed down in the second half, it was Wisconsins defense that sealed the win, holding Michigan to one field goal over the first 7 1/2 minutes of the stanza.
Hughes' trifecta near the 14-minute mark pushed the margin to 50-29, and Michigan didn't have the fire power to mount a comeback.
