Honolulu, HI (Sports Network) - Mike Ladd scored 18 points to lead the Fresno State Bulldogs to a 61-51 victory over the Hawaii Warriors in Western Athletic Conference play at the Stan Sheriff Center.

Greg Smith added 16 points for Fresno State (12-12, 5-5 WAC), while Sylvester Seay contributed 13 points and seven rebounds. Steven Shepp posted 11 points, seven assists and six steals in the victory.

Roderick Flemings was the only player in double figures for Hawaii (9-14, 2-8), finishing with 21 points, to go along with eight rebounds.

The Bulldogs shot a pedestrian 39.1 percent from the floor in the first half, but still went into the break with a 27-25 advantage.

Fresno State only connected on 10-of-27 field goal attempts in the second stanza, but that was good enough for the team to grab a 10-point victory.

The Bulldogs scored 24 points off 19 Hawaii turnovers, while the Warriors posted just five points off 12 Fresno State miscues.
