Elon, NC (Sports Network) - Drew Spradlin posted 16 points and five assists to lead the Elon Phoenix over the Western Carolina Catamounts, 81-76, in Southern Conference action.

Adam Constantine finished with 15 points and nine rebounds for Elon (6-17, 4-8 SoCon). The Phoenix also got 14 points from TJ Douglas, 13 points from Chris Long and 10 points from Terrance Birdette.

Brandon Giles scored 18 points in the loss for Western Carolina (18-7, 8-5). The Catamounts also received 14 points apiece from Harouna Mutombo and Jake Robinson.

Elon shot 50 percent from the floor in the first half and led 39-23 at intermission.

Over the final 20 minutes, the Phoenix scored 19 points from the foul line to seal the win.

Western Carolina finished the tilt with just nine assists against 17 turnovers.
