Athens, OH (Sports Network) - Tommy Freeman erupted for 30 points as the Ohio Bobcats bested the Western Michigan Broncos 90-74 in a Mid-American Conference game.

Armon Bassett provided 21 points and nine assists for the Bobcats (13-11, 4-6 MAC). Kenneth van Kempen added 12 points and eight rebounds. D.J. Cooper finished with 11 points, nine caroms, and eight assists.

Martelle McLemore led the Broncos (13-11, 5-6) with 24 points. David Kool added 19 points and five rebounds. Donald Lawson provided 10 boards to go with nine points, while Mike Douglas contributed nine assists.

The Bobcats rolled to a 45-25 halftime lead behind 58.6 percent shooting in the first half. Ohio was 7-of-11 from three-point range in the first 20 minutes of play.
