Kent, OH (Sports Network) - Chris Singletary and Anthony Simpson each scored 11 points, as the Kent State Golden Flashes easily handled the Ball State Cardinals, 76-42, in Mid-American Conference action at the M.A.C. Center.

Justin Greene added a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds for Kent State (18-7, 9-2 MAC), while Randal Holt netted 10 points of his own.

Ball State (12-11, 6-5) received eight points from Terrence Watson, Randy Davis and Jauwan Scaife in the loss.

The Golden Flashes used an early 12-1 run to open a solid 31-21 advantage at the break.

The Cardinals continued to struggle in the second half, shooting only 28.0 percent from the floor and missing all nine of their three-point attempts in the 34-point loss.

Kent State received a tremendous effort from its bench, outscoring the Cardinals' reserves, 40-10, on the night.
