Boston, MA (Sports Network) - The Northeastern Huskies defeated the Georgia State Panthers, 62-53, behind a game-high 21 points from Matt Janning in a Colonial Athletic Association showdown at the Matthews Arena.

Chaisson Allen netted 19 points for Northeastern (17-8, 12-2 CAA), while Manny Adako scored 11.

Georgia State (10-16, 4-10) was led by Trey Hampton's 16 points, while Ousman Krubally added a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds.

The Huskies shot 54.2 percent (13-of-24) from the floor in the first half as the two teams headed into the intermission knotted up at 29.

The Panthers didn't help themselves in the second stanza, connecting on just 8-of-23 field-goal attempts en route to the nine-point loss.

Northeastern made good on 51.2 percent of its attempts from the field and 7- of-17 from three-point range on the night.
