Columbia, MO (Sports Network) - J.T. Tiller logged 17 points and the Missouri Tigers captured a 65-56 victory over the Iowa State Cyclones in a Big 12 Conference clash at Mizzou Arena.

Justin Safford posted 13 points and nine boards for the Tigers (18-6, 6-3 Big 12), who won for the third time in four games, and Laurence Bowers had a double-double of 10 points and 12 boards.

Marquis Gilstrap put forth 18 points and nine rebounds for ISU (13-11, 2-7), which dropped its third straight outing. Craig Brackins also got involved, registering a double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds.

Missouri forced nine turnovers and held the Cyclones to a dismal 31.0 percent shooting performance from the floor in the first stanza, taking a 28-23 lead to the locker room.

The Tigers converted on 13-of-18 free-throw attempts in the second half to secure the nine-point victory.
