Otis Polk contributed a double-double for Bowling Green (12-11, 5-6 MAC) with 11 points and 11 rebounds, while Dee Brown added 14 points. Erik Marschall ripped down 11 rebounds in the victory.

Northern Illinois (8-15, 4-7) was led by Sean Kowal's 18 points. Michael Patton netted 17 points, while Xavier Silas added 10.

The Huskies held a 38-27 lead at the intermission after connecting on 51.7 percent of their field goals in the first half.

The Falcons were able to mount a comeback in the second half, as they shot 57.7 percent from the floor for the four-point triumph.
