Kingston, RI (Sports Network) - David Gonzalvez turned in a game-high 19 points to lead the Richmond Spiders to a 69-67 victory over the Rhode Island Rams in an Atlantic 10 tussle at the Thomas F. Ryan Center.

Kevin Anderson added 18 points in the win for Richmond (19-6, 8-2 A-10), while Dan Geriot Butler notched 10 points and five boards.

Orion Outerbridge scored 12 points off the bench to pace Rhode Island (19-4, 7-3), while Delroy James and Keith Cothran chipped in 11 points each in the losing effort.

Rhode Island shot at a modest 42.9 percent pace from the floor during the first period of play, enabling Richmond to take a 32-28 lead into the break.

In the second half, the Spiders shot at a blistering 73.7 percent clip from the field to earn the two-point victory.

The Rams converted just 3-of-15 attempts from long range, while the Spiders went 9-of-13 from the same distance.
