Oxford, OH (Sports Network) - Kenny Hayes produced 14 points and five assists, as the Miami-Ohio RedHawks defeated the Toledo Rockets, 55-47, in a Mid- American Conference bout at Millett Hall.

Antonio Ballard added 13 points and seven boards for the RedHaws (11-13, 8-3 MAC), who stretched their winning streak to five games. Julian Mavunga logged 12 points and eight boards, and Nick Winbush chipped in with 10 points.

Justin Anyijong scored 16 points and grabbed nine caroms to lead Toledo (3-22, 0-11). Larry Bastfield netted 10 points, as the Rockets suffered their 15th loss in a row.

Neither team shot particularly well in the opening half, so Toledo's 39.1 percent effort from the field was good enough for it to grab a 21-18 lead at the break.

The RedHawks turned things around in the second stanza, shooting a scorching 68.8 percent from the floor and making 14 free throws on their way to the eight-point triumph.

Miami forced 13 turnovers on the night, generating 15 points from those giveaways.
