Raleigh, NC (Sports Network) - Dorenzo Hudson notched a contest-high 23 points and the Virginia Tech Hokies handled the NC State Wolfpack, 72-52, in SEC action at the RBC Center.

Malcolm Delaney added 15 points and five assists for VT (19-4, 6-3 ACC), which won its third consecutive decision. Jeff Allen contributed 14 points and eight boards, meanwhile, J.T. Thompson pitched in with 12 points and seven rebounds.

Dennis Horner logged a double-double of 13 points and 16 rebounds for NC State (14-11, 2-8), which was defeated for the third straight time. Josh Davis and Tracy Smith both scored 12 points and they also combined for 13 rebounds in the setback.

A 13-0 run in the first half helped the Hokies to take a 34-23 lead to the locker room.

VT knocked down 50.0 percent of its attempts from the floor in the second half, as it coasted to the 20-point victory.

NC State simply couldn't find its stroke, shooting a dismal 28.6 percent from the floor, including an 0-of-11 performance from long range.
