Athens, OH (Sports Network) - Armon Bassett scored 25 points as he helped lead the Ohio Bobcats to an 89-76 win over the Central Michigan Chippewas in a Mid- American Conference bout at the Convocation Center.

Also having a strong game at the offensive end of the floor for the Bobcats (14-11, 5-6 MAC) was DeVaughn Washington with 24 points and six boards, followed by D.J. Cooper with 19 points, six rebounds, four assists and four steals in the team's second straight win and the third in the last four outings.

The Chippewas (11-12, 6-5) were paced by Robbie Harman who delivered a career- high 31 points on 9-of-14 shooting behind the three-point line. Jordan Bitzer added 16 points and Jalin Thomas eight points and nine rebounds in the team's third straight loss.

Central Michigan shot an impressive 52.2 percent from the field in the first half, including 8-of-13 beyond the arc, yet the visitors led by a mere three points at the break, 40-37.

In the second half CMU sank to just 31.6 percent accuracy from the floor, while Ohio jumped to 57.1 percent and also made good on 25-of-30 at the free- throw line to secure the win.

The Bobcats won the game at the charity stripe where they outscored Central Michigan by a commanding 35-14 margin.

With his nine three-point conversions Harman set the new school career record with 208 triples, his 79 threes this season marking the third-highest total in school history as well.
