Mobile, AL (Sports Network) - Martino Brock's 18 points and 12 rebounds led the way FOR South Alabama, as the Jaguars defeated the FIU Golden Panthers 69-65 in a Sun Belt Conference battle.

Gary Redus added 14 points for South Alabama (14-12,6-8 SBC), while DeAndre Hersey scored 12 points and added nine rebounds. Tim Williams provided 10 points and seven boards in the win.

Tremayne Russell scored 20 points and added six rebounds for the Golden Panthers (7-20, 4-10). Marvin Roberts added 17 points, while Marlon Bright provided 12 points and nine boards.

South Alabama led 28-23 at halftime despite shooting just 11-of-33 from the floor.

FIU rallied in the second half to take a 58-56 lead with 2:33 left in regulation. Brock hit a layup for the Jaguars with 22 seconds remaining in regulation to force a 60-60 tie.

South Alabama claimed the four-point victory, after FIU missed all eight of its attempts from the field in overtime.
