Santa Clara, CA (Sports Network) - Drew Viney scored 20 points to lead the Loyola-Marymount Lions to a 73-67 victory over the Santa Clara Broncos in a West Coast Conference bout at the Leavey Center.

Kevin Young added 14 points and eight rebounds for LMU (13-12, 4-5 WCC), while Jarred DuBois and Vernon Teel posted 14 points apiece as well.

Robert Smith netted 21 points for Santa Clara (10-17, 2-8), while Marc Transolini contributed a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds. Troy Payne also finished with a double-double in the loss, posting 12 points, to go along with 10 boards.

The Lions shot 51.7 percent from the floor in the first half and went into the intermission with a 43-27 advantage.
