Cookeville, TN (Sports Network) - B.J. Jenkins scored a game-high 23 points, leading four players in double figures, as the Murray State Racers picked up a commanding 94-62 win over the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles in an Ohio Valley Conference battle at the Eblen Center.
Tony Easley added 11 points for the Racers (23-3, 14-0 OVC) as they extended their win streak to 14 in a row. Edward Daniel and Isacc Miles chipped in 10 points apiece to keep the squad undefeated in conference play as well.
The Golden Eagles (12-13, 6-8), losers of three straight, were led by Kevin Murphy who dropped in 16 points, while Elijah Muhammad and Zach Bailey chipped in 14 and 13 points, respectively.
Murray State shot a sizzling 54.5 percent from the field in the first half, compared to just 29.6 percent for the home team, allowing the Racers to cruise out to a 36-25 lead at the break.
In the second half MSU made good on a staggering 70 percent from the floor, making it that much easier for the squad to record the overwhelming 32-point triumph.
Tennessee Tech was held to only 36.7 percent shooting from the floor and turned the ball over 18 times on the night.
