Towson, MD (Sports Network) - Chad Tomko recorded 22 points to help UNC- Wilmington to an 80-72 victory over Towson in a contest that was postponed Wednesday.

Ahmad Grant added 18 points for the Seahawks (8-17, 4-10 CAA), who snapped a four-game losing streak. Included in those four losses was a setback to Towson at home on January 30.

Keith Rendleman added eight points and nine rebounds in the victory, while Dominique Lacy added 10 points.

Robert Nwankwo and Calvin Lee each scored 15 to pace the Tigers (6-18, 3-11), who were coming off Monday's win over James Madison.

The Seahawks used an eight-point run near the midway point of the first half to build a 23-13 lead, but Towson came back. A nine-point run, ended by a Josh Thornton three with 5:59 left, put Towson on top 26-25.

Though UNCW went back on top down the stretch, the Tigers stayed close and trailed only 35-34 at the break.

The teams traded leads in the second half, but back-to-back buckets by Lacy had the Seahawks ahead 70-61 with 4:49 to play. The Tigers stayed within single digits, but didn't get within one or two possessions as UNCW held on for the win.
