Portland, OR (Sports Network) - T.J. Campbell scored 18 points to lead the Portland Pilots to a 70-56 victory over the San Diego Toreros in a West Coast Conference bout at the Chiles Center.

Robin Smeulders added a double-double of 14 points and 12 rebounds for Portland (15-8, 6-3 WCC), while Jared Stohl also posted 14 points.

Chris Lewis netted 13 points for San Diego (9-17, 2-8), while Chris Manresa posted a double-double of 12 points and 11 rebounds. Matt Dorr chipped in with 11 points in the loss.

Despite shooting just 37.0 percent from the field in the first half, the Pilots went into the break with a 27-23 lead.

In the second stanza, Portland shot 57.7 percent from the floor, and went on to win by a 14-point margin.

The Pilots won the battle on the glass in the matchup, outrebounding San Diego by a 32-22 margin.
