Cleveland, OH (Sports Network) - Norris Cole scored 22 points, grabbed seven rebounds, and dished out seven assists as the Cleveland State Vikings bested the Valparaiso Crusaders 80-71 in a Horizon League meeting at the Wolstein Center.

Trevon Harmon scored 17 points for the Vikings (13-12, 9-4 HL) who have now won six in a row. Jeremy Montgomery added 15 points. D'Aundray Brown contributed nine points and seven boards.

Brandon McPherson scored 17 points to lead Valparaiso (13-14, 8-7) who had won their last two before tonight. Brandon Wood finished with 14 points, Michael Rogers 12.

CSU led 34-30 at halftime after shooting 44.4 percent from the floor in the opening half. The Vikings were 4-of-8 from long range. Valparaiso shot 47.8 percent from the floor in the first 20 minutes.

The Vikings stretched their lead to 18 at the nine-minute mark of the second half. Cleveland State shot 56.5 percent from the floor after halftime and dropped 20 of 21 free throws.
