Dayton, OH (Sports Network) - Cory Cooperwood scored 16 points to lead the Wright State Raiders to a 68-63 win over the Milwaukee Panthers in a Horizon League bout at the Nutter Center.

Todd Brown added 15 points for the Raiders (16-9, 9-5 HL), while N'Gai Evans chipped in with 12 points and six assists.

Milwaukee (13-12, 5-8) was paced by James Eayrs who scored a game-high 20 points in a losing effort. Ja'Rob McCallum also got involved, netting 17 points for the Panthers.

WSU got off to a fast start, shooting 55.2 percent from the floor in the first half, to take a 39-35 lead at the break.

The Raiders put the game away in the second stanza. knocking down 9-of-13 free-throws, en route to a five-point victory.

WSU was tenacious on defense, limiting Milwaukee to just 22-of-51 shooting from the floor, while forcing 14 turnovers in the contest.
