Lawrenceville, NJ (Sports Network) - Anthony Johnson's double-double of 27 points and 14 rebounds led the Fairfield Stags over the Rider Broncs, 79-75, in overtime of a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference battle at Alumni Gym.

Derek Needham added 20 points in the victory for Fairfield (17-8, 10-5 MAAC)

Two of Justin Robinson's 15 points were scored to send the game into overtime with four seconds remaining in regulation. However, Rider (14-13, 7-8) was unable to obtain a lead in the extra session. Ryan Thompson led the Broncs with 18 points, while Mike Ringgold scored 13. Jhamar Youngblood and Novar Gadson contributed 11 and 10 points, respectively.

The Broncs trailed 39-36 at the half despite shooting 61.9 percent (13-of-21) from the floor.

Rider was able to send the game into an extra frame after connecting on 12- of-26 field goals, including 6-of-8 from long range, in the second stanza.

Fairfield sunk a three-pointer to open the overtime and never looked back, outscoring Rider 8-4 in the extra session for the four-point win.
