New Haven, CT (Sports Network) - Oliver McNally sunk a free throw with two seconds left to send the game into overtime, where the Harvard Crimson went on to defeat the Yale Bulldogs, 82-79, in an Ivy League battle at the John J. Lee Amphitheater.
Harvard (16-5, 5-2 Ivy) was led by Kyle Casey's 20 points, while Jeremy Lin added 18. Brandyn Curry and Christian Webster provided healthy efforts in the win, netting 15 and 12 points, respectively.
Alex Zampier poured in a game-high 32 points, including 14-of-15 free throws, in the tough loss for Yale (9-15, 3-4). Jordan Gibson and Michael Sands added 10 points apiece in the affair.
The Bulldogs held a solid 34-25 advantage at the intermission after holding Harvard's offense to just 33.3 percent shooting from the floor in the first half.
The Crimson righted the ship coming out of the locker room, connecting on 57.1 percent of its chances from the field, sending the showdown into an extra frame at 66-66.
Casey connected on two free throws with 2:41 remaining in overtime to give Harvard a 72-71 lead and the Crimson wouldn't let up en route to the hard- fought three-point victory.
