Portland, OR (Sports Network) - Anthony Johnson tallied 22 points and four assists to power the Montana Grizzlies in an 81-76 victory over the Portland State Vikings in Big Sky Conference action at the Stott Center.

Ryan Staudacher scored 18 points for the Grizzlies (18-7, 9-4 BSC), while Will Cherry recorded 13 points and five assists. Brian Qvale pitched in with 11 points and six boards, as Montana stretched its winning streak to five games.

Jamie Jones led PSU (10-14, 5-6) with a double-double of 26 points and 12 boards. Melvin Jones posted 14 points, while Julius Thomas and Dominic Waters chipped in with 13 and 12 points, respectively.

The Grizzlies moved ahead, 11-2, early in the first half and led 37-27 at the intermission.

Montana led by as many as 15 points in the second half and held off a late PSU rally for the five-point win.

The Grizzlies hit on 25-of-34 free throws on the night, while the Vikings went just 18-of-28 from the stripe.
