Princeton, NJ (Sports Network) - Ryan Wittman scored 13 points to lead the Cornell Big Red to a 48-45 win over the Princeton Tigers in an Ivy League showdown at Jadwin Gym.

Jeff Foote also added 11 points for the Big Red (21-4, 7-1 Ivy).

Princeton (14-6, 5-1) was paced by Douglas Davis, who tallied a game-high 20 points in a losing effort.

Cornell took control of the game in the first half, shooting 50 percent from the floor to take a 24-21 lead at the break.

The Big Red kept the pressure on in the second stanza, knocking down 6-of-8 free-throw attempts en route to a three-point victory.

Cornell was tenacious on defense, limiting the Tigers to just 36.4 percent shooting from the floor while forcing nine turnovers in the win.
