NCAA Game Summary - Dartmouth at Yale

New Haven, CT (Sports Network) - Michael Sands scored 20 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead the Yale Bulldogs to a 69-56 win over the Dartmouth Big Green in an Ivy League matchup at the John J. Lee Amphitheater.

Greg Mangano also added 12 points for Yale (10-15, 4-4 Ivy), while Alex Zampier chipped in with 11 points in the win.

The Big Green (4-18, 0-8) was paced by Ronnie Dixon and David Rufful, who scored 15 points apiece in a losing effort. Robby Pride also got involved, netting 11 points, while Clive Weeden pulled down 13 rebounds for Dartmouth.

Dartmouth got off to a fast start, shooting 48.5 percent from the floor to take a 37-29 lead at the break.

Yale put the game away in the seconds stanza, knocking down 13-of-25 shots from the field en route to a 13-point victory.

Free throw shooting proved to be the difference in this contest, as Yale outscored Dartmouth 19-9 from the charity stripe.
