Cullowhee, NC (Sports Network) - Jake Cohen and Nik Cochran both scored 14 points to help his Davidson Wildcats get past the Western Carolina Catamounts, 75-72, in a Southern Conference battle.

Ben Allison had 12 points for Davidson (13-12, 8-5 SoCon). The Wildcats netted 11 points from JP Kuhlman and 10 points from Steve Rossiter.

Harouna Mutombo scored 15 points in the loss for Western Carolina (18-8, 8-6). Brandon Giles added 13 points and Jake Robinson tallied 11 points for the Catamounts.

Western Carolina shot an impressive 57.7 percent from the floor in the first half, including 5-of-7 from three-point range, and led 40-37 at intermission.

The Wildcats were able to fight back and claim the win in the second half by limiting the Catamounts to 34.4 percent shooting from the field over the final 20 minutes.

Davidson earned a 38-31 rebounding edge in the clash.
