St. Louis, MO (Sports Network) - Kwamain Mitchell scored 21 points to lead the Saint Louis Billikens to a 68-65 double-overtime victory over the Dayton Flyers in an Atlantic 10 tilt at Chaifetz Arena.
Kyle Cassity added 14 points for St. Louis (16-8, 7-3 A-10), while Cody Ellis posted 11 points.
Chris Wright netted 16 points for Dayton (17-7, 6-4), while Devin Searcy also posted 16 points in the loss.
The Flyers held Saint Louis to a meager 25.0 percent shooting effort from the field in the first half and went into the break with a 33-19 advantage.
The Billikens stormed back in the second stanza by shooting 48.1 percent from the floor, and used a three-point basket by Mitchell with three seconds remaining in regulation to send the game into overtime tied at 54 apiece.
Both teams netted just five points apiece in the first extra session, and neither squad scored in the final two minutes, sending the game into another overtime.
Saint Louis took the lead in the second overtime and never looked back, as the Billikens went on to claim the three-point win.
The Billikens were 11-of-27 from behind the arc, while Dayton finished just 1- of-13 from long range.
