Chattanooga, TN (Sports Network) - Jordan Miller scored a game-high 31 points as he led the Furman Paladins to an 87-78 win over the Chattanooga Mocs in a Southern Conference clash at McKenzie Arena.

Before fouling out, Amu Saaka registered 19 points and seven rebounds for the Paladins (12-13, 6-8 SoCon) as they snapped a two-game slide.

The Mocs (13-14, 5-9), losers of four in a row, were led by DeAntre Jefferson with 15 points off the bench, followed by Keegan Bell and Ricky Taylor 14 points apiece, while Ty Patterson added 12 in the setback.

Furman moved out to a 32-27 lead at the break on the strength of 44.4 percent shooting from the field.

The second half saw both programs shoot the ball well from the floor, the Mocs hitting 54.5 percent and the Paladins a sizzling 63 percent to capture the nine-point win.

Furman made good on 9-of-20 shots from three-point range in order to overcome 18 turnovers.
