Boone, NC (Sports Network) - Donald Sims poured in 30 points on 11-of-14 shooting from the floor to power the Appalachian State Mountaineers to a 111-83 victory over the Georgia Southern Eagles in a Southern Conference tilt.

Kellen Brand added 17 points for Appalachian State (16-10, 10-4 SoCon), which got 12 points from Isaac Butts and 11 points from Andre Williamson.

Colby Wohlleb netted 22 points in defeat for Georgia Southern (6-20, 3-10). Antonio Hanson scored 15 points in the setback, while Willie Powers added 11 points.

Appalachian State shot a staggering 77.8 percent from the floor in the first half and led 57-54 at intermission.

The Mountaineers' 58.1 percent shooting over the final 20 minutes sealed the blowout win.

APSU shot an identical 14-of-16 from the foul line in both halves.
