Final Score: Indiana 55 - Wisconsin 83
Madison, WI (Sports Network) - Jason Bohannon had a career-high 30 points thanks in part to seven three-pointers as 11th-ranked Wisconsin routed Indiana, 83-55, at Kohl Center.
Trevon Hughes had 16 points and six rebounds while Jordan Taylor added 11 points for the Badgers (19-6, 9-4, Big Ten), who have won three of their last four games and bounced back from a Tuesday loss at Illinois.
"We started out with a run against Illinois on Tuesday, but you never relax," said Wisconsin head coach Bo Ryan. "Our guys didn't relax, we were just beaten by a team that played better that night. When you get that run you have to sustain it. You have to stay after it and I thought we did a good job of that. They chipped away a little bit but we got it back. It's tough when you're playing from behind and we tried to make sure that we didn't make it easy for them to chip into the lead."
Christian Watford had 15 points and Verdell Jones III added 11 points for the Hoosiers (9-15, 3-9), who have dropped six straight.
"Obviously the game didn't turn out the way we wanted to," said Indiana head coach Tom Crean. "Verdell Jones continued to play after being sick with the flu the past couple of days, not doing anything with us. We have a game like this, you have to find some victories somewhere inside, and for him to be able to battle like that, that's a step in the right direction."
Wisconsin scored the first eight points of the game and never trailed from there, as Bohannon capped the early burst with a three-ball less than two minutes in.
A 10-0 run later in the first half gave the Badgers their largest lead of the half at 46-18, but the Hoosiers scored the final six points of the first 20 minutes to trim their deficit to 46-24 at the break.
Indiana kept things from getting completely out of hand over the first several minutes of the second half.
However, holding a 22-point lead, Bohannon hit three straight three-pointers and his team had a 67-36 lead with 8 1/2 minutes to play.
Wisconsin cruised to the finish line from there.
