Tulsa, OK (Sports Network) - Elliot Williams scored a game-high 27 points to lead the Memphis Tigers to a 93-86 win over the Tulsa Golden Hurricane in Conference USA action at the Reynolds Center.

Angel Garcia and Doneal Mack also added 16 points apiece for the Tigers (17-7, 7-2 CUSA), while Wesley Witherspoon chipped in with 10 points in the win.

Tulsa (19-5, 8-2) was paced by Bishop Wheatley, who scored 21 points in a losing effort. Ben Uzoh also got involved, totaling 20 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds, while Jerome Jordan netted 19 points for the Golden Hurricane.

Memphis got off to a fast start, shooting 60 percent from the floor in the first half to take a 46-32 lead at the break.

The Tigers kept the pressure on in the second stanza, knocking down 19-of-22 free-throws en route to a seven-point win.

Free throw shooting proved to be the difference in this contest, as Memphis outscored Tulsa 25-12 from the charity stripe.
