Spokane, WA (Sports Network) - Steven Gray totaled 19 points as 16th-ranked Gonzaga ran past San Diego, 82-65, to keep a stranglehold on the top spot in the West Coast Conference.

Matt Bouldin added 16 points, while Mangisto Arop had 13 points and nine rebounds for the Bulldogs (21-4, 9-1 WCC), who have won four in a row. They are 1 1/2 games ahead of St. Mary's in the standings. Robert Sacre had 11 points and seven boards in the victory.

Brandon Johnson scored 21 to go with eight rebounds for the Toreros (9-18, 2-9), who have lost four in a row and nine of 10. Ken Rancifer added 13 points in defeat.

Johnson, who came off the bench and finished 7-of-14 from the field, has 1,742 points in his career, becoming the school's all-time leading scorer. Johnson, who has been hampered by a groin strain recently, surpassed Gyno Pomare (1,725).
